Topic: General localization problems

I've been checking out Economacs and really happy with the user interface, but a bit confused about the localization.

There is a Finnish language version of the program with a professional looking account chart for companies, but the tuloslaskelma (profit/loss sheet) and tase (balance sheet) don't have the correct headers the Finnish legislation requires. Some of the translations are not correct, but biggest problem is that the legislation requires subheaders and subtotals.

For example the assets part of the balance sheet is divided in non-current and current assets (pysyvät ja vaihtuvat vastaavat), non-current into intangible assets, tangible assets and investments (aineettomat hyödykkeet, aineelliset hyödykkeet, sijoitukset) and so on, intangible assets into development expenditure, intagible rights and so on and these into separate accounts (which are not supposed to be seen in the public version of the balance sheet).

Is there any way to customise the reports? And to edit the translation?

Also, it seems that from the ledger one can print only one account at a time - there should be a way of printing all accounts that have entries as a bulk, shouldn't there? Maybe I just can't find it. And also it should be possible to print a list of all the entries in order of their date.

Also there seems to be a some sort of bug with the input of new entries via the other/manual-choice, sometimes I can't get a new row to the entry by clicking the "+" after inserting a sum and the only way to continue is to press "-" and start all over again.

Re: General localization problems

Which version of Economacs are you using? You can see that if you go up in the main menu and choose Economacs/About Economacs

Re: General localization problems

I'm using 4.1.1

Re: General localization problems

Regarding the translations. If there are translations that are not correct could you please point out where it is not correct please.
In the ledger you can mark several accounts at the same time and then print.
You can sort the entries by date if you want to just mark the date column.
There should not be any problems with clicking the + to make a new row in manual otherwise you could tab to make a new row.

Re: General localization problems

About the translations: ”tuloslaskelma” is correct in the menu, but when you choose it, the title is ”tuloslista” - it should be ”tuloslaskelma” as well. The first subtitle in tase (balance) should be ”vastaavaa” and the other ”vastattavaa” (one letter missing). But the biggest problem is that the whole system of subheaders is missing. You can look at the Finnish version with English translation for example at http://www.relipe.com/info/lexicon/balance.html.

Sorting the entries by date by marking the date column just sorts the entries of each of the accounts chosen. Officially I would need
1. a list of all the entries sorted by date and showing the both debit and credit accounts (their numbers) involved in each entry;
2. a list of all the entries sorted by accounts and then by date (available already), showing the counteraccount(s) also.
